SO much has happened since my last post. I am now 25 weeks! Getting so close to the 3rd trimester and I can most definitely tell! I am a lot more tired these days and my belly exploded! I finally gained all my weight back that I lost in the first trimester (BOO) but luckily I only have 15 weeks to gain weight instead of 40, which is a win in my book!! Today we are painting the nursery!!!!! SO exciting...well Jonathan is painting the nursery, I just got to tape =(
We ordered his furniture a few weeks ago and picked it up last weekend. My parents and sister came in town so we could use her truck to bring it back to the house. They also brought up our first GRILL! THANKS DADDY!!! Since we decided to buy a house I have been most excited about our backyard. The last few weeks we got me a POOL! (which is a pregnancy lifesaver I can tell you that much) We also got a patio set and our grill. I could not be happier!!
We also ordered the glider for the nursery which I am SO excited about! We got a custom one so we could pick the colors. We chose a very light grey for the nursery walls so we went with a dark grey/charcoal color for the glider with a white trim. I cant wait to see it! It should be in early August.
I am feeling our little man SO MUCH these days. It honestly is my favorite part of pregnancy by far. I love waking up and going to sleep because that is when he moves the most. It is also the coolest thing SEEING him move. I swear he does karate moves and cartwheels in there. The other night I think we might have actually seen him completely turn upside down. It was some serious alien action going on. SO WIERD. Sometimes you can even see the lump on my belly where is head or booty is...I got a picture the other night...
We had our 20 week sono which went great! My mom came up to see it. She was dying to see one so she was very excited! The doctor confirmed we were having a little boy =) He looks EXACTLY like Jonathan already which is so cool. I didn't think that we would be able to tell this early on.
This one is his little foot =)
We started baby classes last week! I wasn't sure if I was going to take them at first because originally when I thought Lamaze I thought they would only teach me how to breath....so stupid..if someone tries to tell me how to breath when I am in labor I will most likely kick them. But when I saw the brochure at my doctors office I was surprised when I saw how much they would teach us! Its a 4 week course 3 hours each week and was only $55 bucks! WIN. When the first day came I was so annoyed and didn't want to go because I had just worked the entire day and had to go STRAIGHT to the hospital for another 3 hours. I was thinking about not going but was SO glad we did. We already learned so much in just one class so I cant wait until Monday! What I am most excited about is going on the tour of the maternity ward at the hospital.
We learned a little about contractions on week one and I THINK I may have been feeling a few here lately. They are VERY small and not painful at all but it is definetly a tightening and loosening of my belly and when you push on my belly it feels really really hard! Not sure exactly but I like to the maybe my body is getting ready. We only have 103 DAYS TO GO!
Almost forgot! We started our registry this past week. To say it was stressful is an understatement....I don't know HOW people get so excited about it! I wont lie, after a few minutes it got a little better and was fun for a little bit but after about I don't know 45 min I was SO over it. My feet were KILLING me (oh yea, new symptom : swollen feet!) and I was hungry, tired, and ready to go! We are going to go back tomorrow and add some more things and hopefully have more fun =) It is just so overwhelming! SO MUCH to choose from, so many patterns, so expensive, and I mean how are we supposed to know what is the best?! At least we picked the major thinks like stroller and car seat!
