6 months

Wow 6 months has been the most eventful yet! So much has happened this month. It makes me so happy but also makes me want to cry thinking about the fact that you have been here for half a month already! You are a completely different baby! You are so curious, excited, happy and mobile! Your not crawling yet but at about 5 1/2 months you started sitting up on your own! You actually started pulling yourself up on mommy this morning! You started sleeping on your tummy in your crib and flip yourself over and over all around your crib. We even had to lower it a few weeks ago. You stick your little butt up in the air and im sure by our next months update you will be crawling! You also taught yourself how to scream and blow bubbles which has made for a very loud house! We love everything about you this month. You are so much fun! You babble, eat tons of new foods, give us kisses when we ask and love to play by yourself. Your favorite toys are the ones that light up, also ALL kinds of tags, you are seriously obsessed. You got your big boy high chair and LOVE to eat! When we are feeding you to slow you scream at us with your mouth open yelling for us to hurry up! Mommy and daddy need to get this house baby proofed soon! We celebrated your first Easter and the Easter bunny came to visit you. Today is your first haircut and next week you start mommy and me classes at the little gym! Oh my goodness you have 2 teeth coming in! Possibly 4... you dont leave your mouth open long enough without biting me to check! This has made for a VERY fussy baby on top of you being sick with allergies most of this month. Sweet boy mommy and daddy love you so so much and cant wait for whats to come! Happy half a year birthday!

5 months

(poor little boy was sick and didnt much feel like smiling!)

We now have a 19lb big boy who sits up on his own! We can't even believe how big he is getting! He is still fitting into some of his 6 month clothes but also now wearing 9 month tops and bottoms. We scheduled his 6 month photo session/family pictures recently and I am so excited about them! He babbles all the time now and am hoping he says mama soon! He laughs so hard he chuckles and is so interested in faces(especially daddy's) he is obsessed with Jonathan's glasses! He wants literally everything he sees in his mouth (including everything we eat!) he sits like a big boy in shopping carts and high chairs at restraunts so finally not lugging around his heavy car seat! He went to his first birthday party this past weekend! He had so much fun he got sick for the first time =( he had his first high fever last night and has a cold. Poor sweet baby broke mommy and daddy's heart.

He is almost pulling himself up into a sitting position so this weekend we are going to lower his crib mattress this weekend =( where has my sweet tiny baby gone?! He learned how to properly use his jumparoo and it is his favorite thig to do everyday! He also loves his touch and feel book it is his favorite toy. He is going to get his first tooth in anyday now I'm surprised he hasn't yet! His finger is always always in his mouth chewing on his gums and we have to change his soaking wet bibs multiple times a day! He is loving frozen teethers he chews them for a bit and then just let's the cold sit on his gums while drool pools out of his mouth!

He is still sleeping through the night but had a growth Spert I'm assuming last week because he woke up every night at about 3am starrrrving. He would eat like he hasn't eaten in days. Luckily he is back now to sleeping about 10-11 hours a night. He is still having veggies every night before bed so that is helping fill him up a little better. So far we think he is only allergic to green beans. Maybe peas and bananas but we are going to try those one more time.

He had his first play date this month! He met baby Isaiah from our birthing classes we took at the hospital before he was born. He was born exactly a month before Nathan. He had a great time and can't wait to see him again!

Nathan is the happiest friendliest baby we know and we are loving all the sweet kisses he gives us now! All you have to do is ask and he soaks your face with sweet baby drool and it melts our hearts every time! Can't wait to see what this next month brings! Hopefully we will have a crawler with teeth soon!!

Carrots

We officially have a big boy eating big boy food! A few days after Nathans 4 month appointment we started carrots and HE LOVED THEM. Like im talking he couldnt get enough! He would grunt and laugh and try to eat the entire spoon when it was near his mouth. Here are some pictures =)
