Surprise!

February 28th, 2013!
My daddy's birthday, I had just started a new job, and had just got back and was recovering from a very cranky weekend in San Antonio! It was Jonathans birthday weekend and I was not only exhausted from a very busy weekend visiting family but I had been sick with a cold all week. On the drive home Sunday night we stopped at Bill Millers (YUM) 1 last time. I remember driving and feeling so nauseous (I thought from all my drainage) When I walked in the restaurant and smelled the pickles I went straight in the bathroom and threw up, I felt a lot better after and was sure it was because of being sick with a cold. So then came Monday morning...my first day at a new job! I woke up and ran straight to the toilet again (I assumed nerves mixed with drainage.) Then Tuesday, and Wednesday, then again Thursday morning. What is wrong with me?! By Thursday my cold was mostly gone but I still had a lot of "Drainage" and was still getting sick. I texted Jonathan from work and told him we have to stop and get a pregnancy test tonight on the way home...

Skipping back a little over a year before..
December of 2011, Jonathan and I had been married about 7 months or so and one day just decided we were ready for a baby! I got off the pill that day and we decided to start trying for a little peanut! I had no idea how hard it would be. After a few months of trying and still no baby I went to the doctor who assured us we had nothing to worry about, that it sometimes takes a little longer when you have been on the pill for so long. Long story short a year later, countless appointments, countless medications, countless pregnancy tests, and lots of tears and STILL NO BABY!....

Back to the February 28th!
It was Thursday afternoon and I thought "well yes my period is late, but whats new it always is, may as well take ONE more test" I had just finished another round of hormone pills and had taken a test right before and it came back negative so I assumed I was just late from the hormone pills. But whats the harm in taking another test? So we stopped at HEB that night, got home, took the test and after 2 minutes flipped over the stick and we could not believe what we saw!

"omg is that 2 lines?"
"that's 2 lines?"
"that looks pretty dark right?"
"omg"
"omg!"
We could not stop hugging each other and I remember feeling Jonathans body shaking and heart pounding. I was exhausted and was planning on taking the test, it coming back negative, and then going straight to bed but I was WIDE awake at that point. Just to be sure we decided to take another test the next morning and sure enough that one came back even darker! Its official, we are pregnant! I puked that morning not sure if it was the baby or the "Omg what did we get ourselves into" I asked Jonathan why he seemed so calm the next morning and he said "Um we wanted this remember? Duh" He would!

Here is the first "Belly" picture! I was about 6 weeks when we found out. Just a little bit of Chub!
Now our first official pictures of our little booger! Our first doctor appointment the nurse surprised us with a sono! He/She is 7 weeks in the first one. She had us go back a week later to the sonogram tech to confirm how far along we were. An even bigger surprise that time, we got to hear the little heart beat! It was probably the coolest moment of my life so far! We were not suspecting it at all and my heart was beating so fast. All the worries I had about the pregnancy at that moment instantly went away. The second sono is our little booger at 8 weeks :)
